I’m holding back my impulse to shake you,
And that jerk of a dude that you currently do.
I don’t care who you choose to screw,
But in this situation who’s really screwing who?
Putting yourself in the midst of such shit,
Is a rather common, yet unhealthy bit,
Especially when you know what you’ll get,
And it will be mixed with a pile of regret.
He shoves you around, Calls the cops from downtown,
Snorts coke up his nose till he acts like a clown,
Emotionally spins you round and around,
Until in your tears and shame you almost drowned.
With family around he forgets who you are.
Don’t you find that more than bizarre?
You should be your partner’s shining star,
Instead he relishes biding you au revoir.
Until he sees you with another man.
I wonder if this was your heart’s master plan.
You sounded like you finally were taking a stand,
How quickly your big balls did disband.
He treats everyone around you like crap.
I can’t comprehend how you put up with that.
Two minutes around that little jerky prat,
Leaves me ready to tell him to scat.
It is your life alone to live,
And you chose who your time you give.
But why do you choose to relive,
His transgressions while pretending to forgive?
